My husband has been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy. He has literally no muscle left in either foot. The pain is unbearable for him. He's on Neurontin, a medicine given to epileptics. No doctor has been able to pinpoint where the condition originated so they just try to treat the symptoms. He feels hopeless at times. The condition seems to be moving up his calves. He's been to neurologists, podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons. No luck.....Anyone with any suggestions...please respond...

Peripheral neuropathy can be very dissficult to cure, especially when it is not realted to daibetes or nerve damage. Other conditions related to this condtion are atherosclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, sarcoidosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and polyarteritis nodosa.
