I received a black toe from running several months ago - I let it be thinking that it would eventually fall off.  It hasn't yet, and now I have multiple nails growing on this toe.  Is there anything that I can do to remove them so that I only have one toenail???

If I understand correctly you damaged your toe nail while running and now its growing back very think. You can visit a chiropodist to have the nail cut down periodically or even have the nail removed if its causing pain. Try our gehwol skin and nail oil, this will cause the nail to soften and then you can use a nail file to reduce the size. I'm afraid once you have damaged the nail bed it is very hard to find a total cure.
