I have been dealing with severe posterior shin splints for about 6 months.  I allowed my legs to rest for a time and am now trying to correct certain things.  I bought a good pair of shoes, I wrap my legs as well as doing ice packs after being on my feet all day.  But I don't know what to do while I am not wearing shoes.  I am heavily involved in Martial Arts and therefore spend many hours a week in my bare feet.  Would you suggest I use arch support while on my bare feet?  If so, what product would you suggest?

Thank you!

You should definitely use arch supports in your shoes, such as sports insoles. As for martial arts, you may consider the use of kung fu type shoes while you’re training. You can purchase leather arch pads that have an adhesive backing which can provide a certain level of arch support.
