Cyst in bone: Various types of bone cysts may be identified: simple, skin types, harder (ganglion) and in your case the cyst is complex which may contain both fluid and solid components.
Tasal Sinus: The sinus tarsi, also known as the talocalcaneal sulcus, is an anatomic space between the inferior neck of the talus (upper ankle bone) and the superior aspect of the distal calcaneus (heel bone).
Patients present with lateral foot pain (out side and sometimes inside foot pain), tenderness, and hindfoot instability (rear foot is not in a neutral position when you walk and thus you may be rolling in your foot too much which is called over pronation). Among the causes of this syndrome are inversion (ankle sprains) injuries of the ankle.
Treatment should also focus on correction of dysfunctional feet with orthoses and physical therapy. Physical therapy should address retraining of the peroneal and calf muscles and include a general strengthening and proprioception program with an exercise band, stretching the calf muscles and a wobble board Additional measures include those for ankle sprains (rest, immobilization, cold, etc).
oh the calcaneal spur is a thorn like boney growth on the base of the calcaneus (heel bone) this is usally asymtomatic (not painful) and occurs due to the plantar fascia (holds the arch of the foot in place) being stretched.
In short you need insoles, iceing the area, stretching and a wobble board.
Good Luck!
