ok this may sound really weird, but can anyone tell me what sort of pins would have been put in my ankle when i broke my talius (?spelling) bone and what they would have been made of. also if i was to amputate my foot in an amateur way which way would i be able to get through the metal, or which metods could i use to dislodge or move it so that the amputation could be completed. i assure you i have no intention of doing this, i am a script writer and in my script at present i have an amputation taking place and it has to go through where the cut started and he has met the pins (he is using a saw) and only has a very limited time in which to complete the amputation. any suggestions...no matter how crazy they sound are very welcome...anything could sporne more inspiration. thanks karl. if you dont want to post it on here you can email me at kyew4me@hotmail.com. thanks.

Sorry I’ve actually never done an amputation in the last 10 years of practice, not even in clinic and definitely not on the street!
