I HAV BEEN TOLD THAT I HAVE A BENIGH  ???  TUMOR ON THE NERVE OF MY HEAL. I AM HAVING IT REMOVED PRIVATLY BUT THE DOCS SAY THERE IS NO GAURANTEE IT COULD GET WORSE, BETTER OR NO IMPROVENT.

WHAT ACTUALLY CAUSE'S THIS AND IF THEY ARE TO REMOVE IT THEN WHY WILL THERE BE NO IMPROVEMENT OR GET WORSE?

A benign tumor is not cancerous and is usually caused by trauma. The tumor is located on a sensitive structure, (nerve) which is the reason the surgeon is apprehensive about the outcome. In my experience this type of surgery is usually quite successful.
