I have recently had soft tissue release on the sole of both feet to releave pes cavus. I have come out of plaster can I now have to use crutches for about 6 weeks more, the doctor said that I should start walking on it but they said I don't need any physio or ankle serrports, I was wanderring wether there is any thing to do extra to strengthing my ankles and feet so I can walk properly. I am not aloud to do any high impact activities if not the arches can collaspe and I will then get flat feet.

Have you been given advice on insoles/ orthotics for your recovery period? Once you start to walk again it may be a good idea to use insoles to stabilize the arch region and strengthen the feet. There are exercises you can do like rolling a pen under the sole of your foot, picking up the pen with your toes, using your toes to spell the alphabet, making circles with your toes. But these need to be done once you are walking without crutches and are pain free.
