I have had this pain, more like what feels like a pulling on the bottom of my foot.  This pain is in the arch part of my foot.  There are also two small bumps on the bottom of my foot, where there is pain. I am 21 years old and I sprained my ankle about six years ago and have felt pain since then.  Also, this pain does not occur when not engaged in excercise, most commonly during a step areobics class or when ballancing on one foot.  Please help, I can find no advice on this topic anywhere.  Thank you.

The small lumps may be fibrous tissue form the damage to the plantar fascia. You may have a condition called plantar fasciitis. The plantar fascia holds the arch of the foot in place and provides balance to the foot. If you are feeling a stretch to the bottom surface of the foot than you need insoles and need to stretch the fascia. Try picking up a pen with your toes and spell the alphabet with your toes.
