Hello. For the past 4 or 5 days, I have experienced a numbness on the left side of my right big toe. The first time I felt this was almost a year ago when I went hiking for several days. After I got home, I noticed that my right toe was numb. It went away after a month or two, but would return for a day or so every once in a while. It has become ever so slightly worse since then (a year ago), and I am beginning to wonder if it is from some sort of nerve injury, or diabetes related neurapathy. I am on my feet a lot; going to classes, running, marching, hiking, et cetera. I'm 17, not out of shape, I do lots of sports, running, what have you. I'm wondering if I should see a doctor and worry about diabetes, or if it could just be a stress injury? Thanks much.

Could be that Morton's Neuroma is involved. Check with your Dr. or Podiatrist. Roll a golf ball under your foot from front to back pressing down with your foot in any spots that feel uncomfortable. I know that sounds counterintuitive but it works. 2x a day is what my Dr. told me, as long as I can tolerate it.

Hello everyone, I am 18 years old, 5’ 4” tall and I weigh about 120 pounds. I tested my blood yesterday two hours after eating and it was 102.Tested fasting this morning and it was 104. Tested an hour ago after eating a bagel with cream cheese and Lipton tea it was 126. I am so curious. Do I have diabetes? Please help me with your great experience. Thanks a lot.

What week are you tested for gestational diabetes? I'll be 23 weeks on Monday and I have an appointment with my OB then. I thought she said I'd have to do the glucose test at that time, but she may have meant later. I wondered when you're typically tested for gestational diabetes in pregnancy?
