My first symptoms began about three months ago
1. felt quick muscle spasms in legs and feet when elevated at end of day but not visible
2. legs and feet feel stiff upon arising from sleep or rest
3.stepped up exercise by walking and biking(to lose weight and get healthy) and after two weeks felt pain in heels after resting.
3. pain in heels after resting, improves after awhile and then hurts again after being on feet all day. Occasional minor pain on bottom of foot under second toe
4. pain in back of heels and up shins
5. pain in heels, shins and hamstrings
I am a 52 year old woman 5'2, 127 lbs. and have thyroid disease and raynauds syndrome. I also fell and fractured my tailbone one year ago.
Please advise. I want to be active and am scared. |

| Due to the range of your symptoms you need to visit a podiatrist for a biomechanical evaluation and have the range of motion and flexibility checked for you calf and hamstrings. |

I will make an appointment this week. In the meantime my husband bought me these unusual shoes called MRT. They make your foot roll. The pain
goes away wearing these since they take stress off my heels, but they put weight on the arch area. Have you heard of these. They told him podiatrists recommend them to help patients heal.
Thank you for taking time to suggest what you think will help me. |

| MRT shoes may be anti pronation shoes which means you definitely need a biomechanical examination. |

Dr. Foot,
I will attempt to get in with a podiatrist tomorrow.
Hopefully these shoes will not aggravate my issues
since they are relieving my pain when on.
Please excuse my typo of the shoe I mentioned.
It is called the MBT and most orthodic shoe stores
in this country and others sell them. Here is info.
on them.
Thank you again for your time and listening. |
