| Every now and then I'll get this pain in my right arch where my foot locks up and I can't move it. It's happened twice this month, once when I was standing on my tippy-toes and another when I was sitting down and I lifted my toes up. The first time it ever happened was when I got into a . and I went to put my foot on one of the pedals. It's a bit scary when it happens because of my foot and toes locking up. I was just wondering if this sounds like a serious problem I should have checked out or if I'm just pulling something in my foot that's not stretched out enough on a regular basis? |

| When you say locked up are you referring to a foot spasm? Foot spasms are often an abnormality in calcium level, which can be linked to the lack of vitamin D. However, arch spasms can be caused due to damage to the plantar fascia or medial ligament. Often 3/4 length orthotics and stretching prevents and cures the problem. Women should also avoid tight fitting narrow foot wear. |
