| I have this strange rash that appears on the arches and soles of my feet, not the heel or ball. Several months ago the "rash" appeared in the form of circles. The ring of the circles were pale, almost white and the centers were normal skin color, The circles had the qualities of a hive or bug bite, just in a circle. The itching is only moderate but annoying. Over the past couple of days they have reappeared, exactly the same except the circles are now half circles. This "rash" is very strange and annoying. Does anyone have any ideas on what is causing it? There is no moisture or flaking. |

| Visit a podiatrist ASAP, the description resembles a fungal infection but the symptoms may also be a form of dermatitis. However, the circular rash does suggest that it may be ringworm. The patches are often ring-shaped or oval and the edges are red and scaly. Inside the ring, the skin may be a bit scaly but looks normal in all other respects. The fungus spreads from the centre of the patch but the activity is confined to the outer edge. The infected areas are usually itchy. |
