have nail fungus and have had it for a few years and so it has grown worse.
I have tried to treat it with tea tree oil for over 4 months, every day but nothing has changed.
Just recently I noticed when bathing my feet they began to itch, go red and weep. I presumed this was atheletes foot but after consulting my doctor he didnt tell me what I had but prescribed me with antibiotics.
This is causing me great stress. What is causing the itching and weeping and also how do I cure both this and the nail fungus?
Thank you |

To begin with the tea tree oil is not powerful enough to treat fungal nails. If the toe is weeping and the doctor has given you antibiotics then you have an infection present. The infection may be due to an ingrown section of the fungal nail or the actual nail bed being infected due to the fungal nails. I would recommend you visit a state registered chiropodist to have the nail assessed. If there is only a fungal infection present than you can ask the chiropodist to write you a letter for your GP to recommend anti-fungal tablets or a nail lacquer that will cure the toe with a few months.
