42 Very Happy Pain in the arch and heel area may be plantar fascitis. You need to purchase orthotics, however there are a few exercises you can do. Pick up a pen with your toe and draw the alphabet with your toes; this will help stretch the plantar fascia. Use ice in the morning on you heel for 15 minutes, you may benefit from a leather arch pad which is around £10.
