I've had some kind of foot problem for years now, and I'm not sure what it is. I get red spots around the ball area or side of my foot that are apparently caused by pressure. They are painful when pressure is applied, and sometimes burn and itch. Sometimes it has been so painful it's been hard to walk on them. Athletes foot has been ruled out a dozen times, a doctor ruled out a fungal or skin infection (but he didn't know what it was, he wasn't a specialist.)
These sores occur when I have been on my feet for prolonged periods of time, especially when I wear shoes that don't have lots of cushion and arch support (I have high arches). My high arches have caused my feet a lot of problems, but I'm wondering if these sores are a result of them or are they unrelated?
I don't have diabetes, I'm not overweight, and I'm only 20 years old. I have no medical problems other than this. Is this just my feet reacting to the extra pressure from my high arches? |
