I just broke the fifth 3 days ago. The Dr. says it's 50/50 on whether I should have the surgery or just go with my cast. He also says there are several small breaks and is concerned that it can heal correctly.
Can anyone let me know the pros and cons or what their experience has been either way. I'm afraid it wont heal correctly without the surgery since I'm at home with a six month old, alone. Family is 1500 miles away and my husband works 12 hours a day so it's impossible to stay off of it. I have to make a decision soon and am scared to make the wrong decision.  |
