| Hi, In June 2004 while trying to shoo my cat away from the door and close the door at the same time, I kicked the the inside of the door with my left foot which caught my pinky toe and bent it outwards about 180 degrees or half way. It swelled up and my entire foot turned black and blue. I elevated it and iced it and taped it to my other toe for about 3 weeks. It only hurt whenever something touched it directly or I put all of my weight to that side of my foot. Now, 8 weeks or more later, at the end of the day the toe is so swollen and deformed looking that the my pinky toe looks as if it is turned upside down, but it doesn't really hurt, but their is a radiating burining pain from my pinky toe all the way down the side of my foot that is extremely irritating and I can't wear any shoes because if anything touches it, it sends me through the roof. However, if I gently wrap it up each night in an ace bandaid then the swelling goes down and the pain subsides, but the burning is still there. And by the end of the day it is back to square one, but getting worse. Please advise. Thank you. Monica Castro |
