| I am having surgery Feb. 17 2006 to remove hardware (4 screws) that were placed in Sept. 2005 for a triple fusion. When the Dr does this surgery, he is also going to remove excess bone from the base of the 5th Metatarsil (spelling). I have a lump of excess bone forming on the base (side/bottom) of the lateral side of my foot. (this is all being done on the left ankle/foot). What exactly is the correct term for this excess bone removal? Also, I am having MAC, what can I except when I have MAC. I want to be awake, so that I remember what is happening, but I want to be relaxed enough so I don't really care what is happening. Is it possible to be in that kind of state? |
