Introduction to Tendonitis (Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction)
Tendonitis in the foot is a common problem amongst hard working people. This is a classic over use injury and affects a particular tendon in the foot, the posterior tibial tendon. This tendon helps to hold the arch of the foot and prevents your feet from rolling in too much. The patients in-step of the foot may appear inflamed and may have a pronounced flat foot deformity.
Symptoms include pain at the in-step of the foot, especially along the course of the tendon. There may be burning, tingling, shooting or stabbing pain present in the foot. This is due to the inflammation of the nerve that surrounds the tendon. If a patient is asked to stand on their toes, intense pain will be present in the arch of the foot.
This Insole provides a unique foot support system that re-aligns the lower body. The major cause of tendonitis is over pronation (rolling over of the feet) which causes excessive pressure on the foot bones and ligaments. This insole treats the underlying cause of tendonitis and prevents future occurrences of the condition. Patients have reported relief of symptoms within 30 days of using this product.
"I would thoroughly recommend Dr. Foot's Sport Insoles to anyone with tendonitist. They are ideal for walking around the city, but also for running, cycling and hill walking. I had avoided walking even short distances as my knees and ankles ached. Within one week of wearing the sport insoles I was so much more comfortable - it was amazing the difference the insoles made."
